Eleni Sophocleus (aka okay leni) is an interdisciplinary artist.

As an interdisciplinary artist, I find value in drawing from multiple fields of knowledge to create pieces that are greater than the sum of their individual “okay” parts. Creativity is at its best when we use the framework of multiple interests to think freshly about each individual one.

My creative practice is an intersection of photography, art, graphic design, fashion, and music. They feed each other, and they help me grow.

My artistic process typically consists of taking in objects, places, and feelings that encourage playfulness, and designing them into a finished piece. With painting, I do this through intentionally playing with proportion, color, dimension, and light. In addition to being a tool of self-expression, I use the medium of painting as a way to take in, digest, and reflect the world around me. As a chronically ill person, I find comfort in this process. It allows me to focus on the optimism and beauty of the ordinary objects around me.
